Hi! This is week two of my meditative harvest & share, where I give you the bits of my life and the bytes of the internet. So far, this little catch-all has given me something to look forward to when experiencing life. It's pushed me to consume more well-researched and thought provoking (as well as positive) media, as well as keep an extra eye out for things around me in the real world. It makes me so happy writing these, so if you're reading this πππ you have a special place in my heart.
I spent a morning before work sitting with the bees. One bee was friendly enough to use my finger as a bridge between flowers. We have a brilliantly blooming bush of what I believe is caryopteris, or "bluebeard", that the bees and pollinators alike absolutely adore. You can't escape the rhythms of a morning in Pennsylvania, whether it's the humming bumblebees or the ocean-like roar of the cicadas.
Regarding insects, the Rosy Maple Moth is something out of a dream.
An underground network of wildlife lovers are illegally "beaver bombing" local rivers, creating habitats and combating mass extinction. Beavers are also known to prevent our communities from flooding, as well as increasing biodiversity. π¦«

I'd like to try to keep this lighthearted and separate from the things going on in the world right now, but if you feel out-of-the-loop regarding Elon Musk and why he seems so important all of a sudden, the New Yorker did a great article on his influence, specifically regarding the role he played in Ukraine, and his ties to Putin.
